Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and JPNC America LLC ("Mukpaw", "we", "us"). They govern your use of the Mukpaw iPhone app and this website (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who can use Mukpaw

You must be at least 18 years old to use Mukpaw. By creating an account you confirm that you are 18 or older and that you are able to enter into this agreement.

2. Your account

You sign in with Apple or with an email sign-in link. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to your email or Apple ID secure. Tell us at admin@mukpaw.com if you believe someone else has used your account.

One person may hold one account. Do not impersonate another person, business, or brand.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos, text, and other content you post ("Your Content"). You are responsible for it, and you confirm that you have the right to post it.

By posting, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute Your Content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies retained in backups for a limited time.

Most content on Mukpaw is public, including to people who are not signed in. Do not post anything you would not want to be public.

4. Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users

We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior on Mukpaw. Content that violates this section may be removed, and the accounts responsible may be suspended or terminated without notice.

You agree not to post, send, or do any of the following:

Content that is hateful, harassing, threatening, or that attacks a person or group
Content that is sexually explicit, or that sexualizes minors in any way
Content depicting or encouraging animal cruelty, neglect, or harm to any animal
Violent, gory, or shocking content
Content that promotes self-harm, illegal activity, or dangerous behavior
Spam, scams, bulk or repetitive posting, or artificial engagement
Content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights
Personal information about another person posted without their consent
Impersonation of another person, business, or brand
Harassing, stalking, or repeatedly contacting a user who has blocked you
Attempting to break, overload, scrape, or reverse engineer the Service

5. Reporting, blocking, and moderation

You can report a post, a comment, a user, or an AI Pet Translation from the app. You can also block a user, which hides their content from you and yours from them.

We review reports and aim to act on them within 24 hours. We may remove content, hide it, suspend an account, or terminate an account, at our discretion. We may act without prior notice where the content is clearly harmful.

6. AI Pet Translation

Mukpaw generates a short line of text in your pet's voice for posts, labeled "APT". It is produced automatically by an AI model from the text and product information you provide. Photos are not used.

AI Pet Translation is fiction, written for entertainment. It does not describe what your pet actually thinks or feels.
It is not veterinary, medical, nutritional, or product advice. Talk to a veterinarian about your pet's health.
Generated text may be inaccurate or unexpected. We check it automatically before showing it, but we cannot guarantee every result.
AI Pet Translations can be reported like any other content, and we may remove them.

7. Products and brands

Mukpaw lets you tag products you use. Brand and product names belong to their owners. Mukpaw is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any brand that appears in the app, and nothing in the app is an endorsement or a claim about a product's quality, safety, or effect.

8. Your responsibilities as a pet owner

Mukpaw is a place to share pet photos. It is not a source of veterinary advice, and nothing in the Service should be relied on for decisions about your pet's health, diet, or care.

9. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app, under Settings. Deletion removes your account and your content, and it cannot be undone. See Account Deletion.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, or if we are required to by law.

10. Changes to the Service

We may add, change, or remove features, and we may stop offering the Service. We will give reasonable notice of significant changes where we can.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that content on it is accurate.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, JPNC America LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, goodwill, or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed one hundred United States dollars (US$100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JPNC America LLC from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, arising from content you post or from your violation of these Terms or of any law.

14. Apple

These Terms are between you and JPNC America LLC, not with Apple. Apple has no responsibility for the app or its content, and no obligation to provide support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the courts located in Denton County, Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, give notice in the app. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
